BODC launch an enhanced data download facility that allows you to obtain multiple sample image and/or data files from the GEBCO One Minute Grid.

You are required to register as a 'BODC web user' prior to accessing these data. This quick and easy process will enable us to match your details with your data licence agreement and assess the users needs in future developments.

What is GEBCO?

The goal of the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) project is to provide the most authoritative, publicly-available bathymetry for the world's oceans. Originally published in chart form, GEBCO is now maintained at BODC in the form of a digital atlas.

The GEBCO Digital Atlas (GDA)

The GDA contains the GEBCO One Minute Grid. It provides bathymetry data on a global grid with a one arc-minute spacing and a global set of digital bathymetric contours and coastlines. The data sets are accompanied by full documentation and interface software.
