BODC Cruise Metadata Report for RRS James Cook (740H) cruise JC146

Introduction

This report collates information from the BODC cruise inventory and oceanographic databases. It presents

Cruise Inventory Information

Long name RRS James Cook (740H) cruise JC146
Short name JC146
Objectives and Narrative Attempted recovery of MYRTLE-X lander deployed at RAPID EBHi mooring site in 2015. This was a couple of days added into the ship transit that was happening anyway. Acoustic communications were attempted but no communication could be established with the lander during this cruise and weather conditions precluded an attempt at "blind firing" the releases. The cruise therefore consists of a passage from Tenerife to Southampton with a brief stop at the lander site, so no Cruise Report was produced.
