Introduction

This report collates information from the BODC cruise inventory and oceanographic databases. It presents

Cruise Inventory Information

Long name RRS James Clark Ross (74JC) cruise JR20070120 (JR157, JR166)
Short name JR20070120 (JR157, JR166)
Objectives and Narrative This cruise undertook work for JR157 and JR166. The latter was 5 days ship and ROV time bolted onto the main cruise JR157, lead by J Dowdeswell (SPRI). The PSO for JR166 was Paul Tyler (NOCS).

Sediment transfer from the Antarctic continent to deep ocean: a shelf-slope-basin system investigated using the ISIS Remotely Operated Vehicle

1) Biological observations were made by flying the ROV 0.6 m above the sea bed at 20 cm per second, and video the sea bed using the pilot and Pegasus cameras.
2) High resolution still imagery was taken of the sea bed and of specific organisms
3) Voucher specimens of dominant species were collected on two dives by the use of the suction sampler or manipulator arms
4) Molecular analysis and morphological observations of individuals were made

The cruise took place in conjunction with JR157.
