Instrument Note
This data set is not 'sea level' as measured by conventional instruments.
This bottom-mounted pressure gauge measures the column of water and air above it. The weight of the air is not measured and thus it is included in the final series.
The conversion from pressure units to height for the water column uses a measured temperature and an assumed constant salinity of 37 psu with gravity at 9.81 m/s2; for the density estimation.
