Partners

The International Data Assembly Centre will forge a close working relationship with National Data Assembly Centres (DAC) from each of the participating countries. A list of DAC can be found below.

America

Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO), based at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, in Woods Hole, MA. The lead Data Manager at BCO-DMO will be Cyndy Chandler (Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry Department, WHOI) who will be responsible for US GEOTRACES data.

Canada

All data will be sent to the Polar Data Catalogue endorsed by the Canadian IPY program and developed by ArcticNet and CCIN. For further information contact ArcticNet data manager Josée Michaud.

Germany

All German IPY and GEOTRACES data will be handled by PANGAEA. Hannes Grobe is the main point of contact.

Sweden

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) have responsibility for Swedish Oceanography data and they will be a partner of the new ESF GEOTRACES COST action ES0801; "the ocean chemistry of bioactive trace elements and paleoclimate proxies". The person to contact at SMHI oceanography is Jan Szaron.

Japan

The Japan Oceanographic Data Centre (JODC); will serve as the national data center for GEOTRACES in Japan. The contact person is Norio Baba.

France

Observatoire Océanologique based in VILLEFRANCHE will handle all GEOTRACES data. The lead Data Manager will be MPaule Torre.

Netherlands

The Data Management Group (DMG) based at Royal NIOZ is the data centre for the Dutch National Cruise Programme and will handle all GEOTRACES data. For further information contact Taco de Bruin.
