The OMEX II-II project is designed to measure and model the exchanges of matter and energy between the continental shelf of Europe and the open Atlantic Ocean, along the northwestern Iberian Margin (offshore Spain and Portugal).  This project is partly supported by the European Union within the MArine Science and Technology programme (Contract MAS3-CT97-0076) and is running from June 1997 to May 2000.
