Enabling Parameter Discovery (EnParDis)
Our achievements
The BODC Parameter Dictionary has been adopted by a number of marine data management groups around Europe.
It has been accepted as the standard parameter vocabulary by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea/ Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (ICES/IOC) Study Group on XML (SGXML) and has been offered for use to the European Union (EU) MarineXML project.
The EnParDis team are also collaborating with the UK NERC DataGrid project and the Global Organisation for Earth System Science Portals (GO-ESSP) in developing online data access tools.
