Rapid Climate Change (RAPID and RAPID-WATCH)
38-43°N deployments
You can find information here about the mooring rigs deployed in the arrays at 38-43°N that are involved in monitoring the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (MOC). The array originally consisted of three sub-arrays named Line A, B and C, running from north to south. However, mooring deployments at Line B ceased in 2006.
- Rig ID (e.g. C5xx#1) is made up of site name (C5) and deployment number (#1)
- The initial letter of the Rig ID denotes which sub-array the mooring belongs to
- A description of each instrument type is given by hovering over the instrument codes
