Knowledge transfer

UK SOLAS has been well represented within the international scientific community. Programme participants have published articles in the most prestigious scientific journals, and presented their work at conferences around the world. Research output has accelerated as fieldwork reaches its conclusion. UK SOLAS science will continue to feature in scientific literature as the programme moves into its closing stages.

UK SOLAS scientists have also been active in public outreach activities. Collaborations with the Royal Society, and with the London Science Museum, have provided resources and inspiration for a potential new generation of environmental scientists. Active engagement of UK SOLAS participants with the national media has contributed to the public profile of NERC research.
