The Autosub Under Ice (AUI) data management pages are now available.

Malcolm Hearn is the BODC coordinator for this project. He will work closely with the AUI scientists and will be responsible for the data which have been collected during three cruises and the individual Autosub missions.

The AUI programme is exploring the marine environment beneath floating ice shelves using an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) called Autosub. Autosub is an unmanned, untethered submersible, programmed to carry out missions without communication from the surface.

It is a £5.86 million programme funded by NERC and brings together oceanographers, geologists, glaciologists, biologists and engineers from several UK institutions to investigate the role of sub-ice shelf processes in the climate system.
