| Objectives | Two research vessels, the U.S. R/V Wecoma and the Mexican El Puma worked together in the Gulf of Tehuantepec between 7 January and 10 February 1989.
The objective was to study the time dependent response of the hydrography and circulation of the Gulf of Tehuantepec to intermittent outbursts of strong offshore winds, which blow intermittently through the Chivela pass between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific. |
