Purpose | Research |
Objectives | The cruise is part of the ICES co-ordinated International Herring Larvae Surveys (IHLS) in 2014/15. The aim is to estimate the distribution and abundance of North Sea herring larvae for assessment purposes. The larvae samples are taken on a standard grid with a station to station distance of approx. 10 nm. Used gear is a modified GULF III plankton sampler (Nackthai). Area of investigation was around the Orkney-Islands and in the Buchan area. |
