| Objectives | Assess the spawning stock of mackerel in spring/summer 2016 as part of the joint international mackerel egg survey on the spawning grounds west of the British Isles. Several research vessels and several periods will be covered during the various surveys (see text table below for vessels in our period), coordinated by the ICES. The results will be used in the assessment of mackerel by the Working Group on Widely Distributed Stocks [WGWIDE] in August 2016. |
