PurposeResearch
ObjectivesThe objectives of this cruise leg were:
1) To trawl on the upper Hebridean slope in order to obtain fish samples. Small but adequate catches obtained.
2) To collect seasonal samples of benthic macrofauna at SMBA standard station M. Accomplished.
3) To obtain samples of benthic megafauna for gut contents analysis, EM microscopy and reproductive histology. Accomplished using specimens from station M.
4) To obtain box core samples on the benthic stations. Not done.
