Procedure

Staff will travel across to Shieldaig, via Aultbea, on 9 March.

On 10 March the Aanderra buoy will be recovered, using the Fram, and taken back to Ardheslaig for servicing. The buoy will be taken apart, the instruments cleaned and then left overnight for the batteries to charge. The CAPTOR buoy will hopefully arrive about lunchtime and be off loaded from the pick-up truck.

The CAPTOR buoy and Sontek XR will be deployed on 11 March in Outer Loch Torridon.

On 12 March the Aanderra buoy will be reassembled, checked and re-deployed.

The base station computer will be checked as time allows.

Staff will return to Aberdeen on 13 March.

The fieldwork will only be carried out in good weather and may be postponed until the following week.
