Description
Summary

The project objective is to follow long-term trends in mesozooplankton abundance, biomass and species composition in two locations in the Gulf of Bothnia. The mesozooplankton has been monitored on two sampling sites; one coastal station in the northern Bothnian Sea and one open sea station in the Bothnian Bay. Each of these stations has been sampled on 8 occasions per year since 1994 and onward. The sampling has been concentrated on the productive season of the year. Data from simultaneous sampling for water physics/chemistry are stored at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, SMHI.
