Description
Summary

Anchovy eggs and larvae were sampled over a grid of 20 stations spread 1 Km apart within Mira estuary during the specified period 1985 to 1992. This sampling procedure was complemented with fixed stations studies. The horizontal sampling scheme was used mainly to monitor the abundance and horizontal distribution of anchovy eggs and larvae as well as to study the extent of its longitudinal transport. The fixed stations studies were used to monitor the impact on the horizontal distribution of the interaction between tidal circulation and the active vertical migration of larval anchovy. Some hydrographical parameters were collected (salinity, temperature, current direction and speed).
