Role division
CLIVAR plans for providing in-situ sea level data recognizes the need for the establishment of two sea level Data Assembly Centres (DACs). The two centres perform complementary activities.
- The British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) is responsible for constructing
the data set suitable for archiving and long term preservation.

sets that are corrected and ready for use by scientist and educators.
