Data centre's role

The CoFEE Sample Data Centre (SDC) is responsible for all management of data generated or used in CoFEE. The SDC promotes data sharing and collaboration between the Project Partners, ensures that CoFEE data are stored safely for long-term use and provides data management advice for situations when data are not going to be stored at the SDC.

For CoFEE, the SDC is located at BODC. All queries relating to CoFEE data may be directed to Sean Gaffney.

In addition, BODC liaise with the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC) who have the overall data management responsibilities for the NERC Flood Risk from Extreme Events (FREE) Programme. This relationship ensures that the data management of CoFEE is in keeping with the data management practices and procedures in place for the FREE Programme, of which CoFEE is a part.

Non-CoFEE related queries about FREE data may be directed to Sarah Callaghan.
