You can find information here about mooring rigs deployed in the arrays at 26.5°N that are involved in monitoring the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (MOC). The 26.5°N array consists of three sub-arrays that extend across the Atlantic. These are the Eastern Boundary (EB), the Mid Atlantic Ridge (MAR) and the Western Boundary (WB) arrays.
Scientists of the RAPID-MOC project have analysed the mooring array data to produce data products that may be of interest to people investigating the MOC. These include vertical temperature/salinity profiles in the sub-arrays and vertical MOC transport profiles. To access these please visit the 'Data' section of the RAPID-MOC project web site.
- Rig ID (e.g. WB1#1) is made up of site name (WB1) and deployment number (#1)
- The initial letters of the Rig ID denote which sub-array the mooring belongs to
- A description of each instrument type is given by hovering over the instrument codes
- Request data (subject to availability and data policy restrictions)
