Apart from the mooring recovery, no other scientific activities were planned. The 2 moorings contain scientific instruments collecting oceanographic data (CTD), biofouling experiments and biodegradation experiments (whale bone and wood) designed to look for the enigmatic Osedax bone-eating worm and Xylophaga shipworm. |
