Hydrography

The five ships are equipped with instruments measuring surface hydrography parameters including temperature, conductivity, and sometimes chlorophyll and light transmission. These instruments are connected to the ship’s pumped non-toxic water supply, the same as the one used for the pCO2 measurements. The instruments record continuously except when the ships are approaching dirty waters close to harbours.

The suite of instruments is different on each ship, the table below provides the relevant details.
