Objectives and Narrative 1. To perform turbulence production and dissipation rate measurements at two 25 hr tidal stations; one in Liverpool Bay (LB-T1) and one in the Irish Sea (GY-T1).

2. To assess primary productivity in the Irish Sea using new techniques such as fast rate repetition fluorometry (FRRF) and pulse amplitude modulation fluorometry (PAM) on 13-25 hr tidal stations and numerous transect stations.

Due to bad weather station measurements at station GY-T1 was not completed, station abandoned 12 hr before plan. No operations for 1.5 days due to bad weather. Measurements at station DB-T1 stopped after 20 hrs due to weather and a broken anchor chain. Remaining part of cruise cancelled 18/04/05 as the vessel is not allowed to operate with only one anchor. On station GY-T1 one ADCP mooring was lost as it never resurfaced upon release.
