All heights have been referred to the station tide staff zero which is linked to fixed benchmarks. This gauge is located about 100 yards from Port Victoria-B yet it is not levelled to the same bench marks.
The reference level appears stable during December 1977 - August 1983.
Relative to this period, 1975-1976 appears low by about 10 cm and September 1983 - October 1984 appears high by about 10 cm.
