Abstract |
This dataset contains surface (0 m and 10 m depth samples) for Total Particulate Carbon (TPC), Total Particulate Nitrogen (TPN), Particulate Organic Carbon (POC), Particulate Organic Nitrogen (PON) and chlorophyll data from long-term Western Channel Observatory (WCO) sampling station, L4 (50°15.00'N; 4°13.02'W) situated off the south-west coast of England, United Kingdom. The data were collected by scientists based at Plymouth Marine Laboratory. Chlorophyll concentrations were analysed using a Turner fluorometer whilst TPC,TPN, POC and PON were analysed using a Thermoquest FlashEA 1112 elemental analyser. The dataset is an ongoing series from 1992 to 2015 with near-weekly sampling occurring, allowing for 'lost' days due to bad weather. |
