Description
Summary

The project objective is to follow long-term trends in phytoplankton species composition, abundance and biovolume at one coastal (Asko) and one open sea (Landsort deep) station. Special attention has been paid to identify new, immigrating species and potentially toxic taxa. The project began at Asko 1983, while at Landsort the studies cover the years 1990-1991 and 1994-1997 both sites are studied further on. Data from simultaneous sampling for water chemistry and physics are stored at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI).
