Description
Summary

The CYBO project is a multiyear project aimed to study the seasonal and inter-annual variability of the general circulation of the Cyprus SE Levantine basin, Eastern Mediterranean Sea, simultaneously at the coastal and open deep sea areas. The CYBO cruises were aimed at obtaining reliable and high spatial resolution CTD data from a telescopic grid of stations, with 5-10 nm in the near coastal waters of Cyprus and 15-30nm in the open sea. The seasonal oceanographic cruises were carried out twice a year and data were collected down to 1200 to 1900m depth on board of the multi-purpose surveying vessels.
