Oresund (the Sound)

During the two weeks 6 - 18 September 1976 intense hydrographical measurements were performed in Oresund (the Sound). The reason for the observations was a model project for Oresund attended to by the Danish Hydraulic Institute. The program was designed to serve as a calibration of a numerical two-layer model which implies that the data material is not optimized in other aspects. The data covers - permanent measurements performed by the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), the Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI), the Meteorological and Hydrological Institute of Sweden (SMHI) and the Belt Project, National Agency of Environmental Protection, Denmark (BP) - Intensive measurements in September 1976 performed by SMHI and BP - Intensive measurements in September 1976 performed in Koge Bight as a result of an investigation commissioned to DHI by the municipals bordering the bight RDANH holds only data which are stored together with data from the Belt Project Data (see Data Set Description for 'Physical oceanographic data collected during the Belt Project').
