| Summary | The research programme in the frame of which the data set were gathered aimed towards the best understanding of the phenomenology and the dynamics of the seas of the Eastern Mediterranean. CTD measurements of temperature and salinity collected within the framework of 14 national and international projects are included in this data set. A total of 2808 stations were made during 82 cruises conducted by NCMR in the following areas: Saronikos Gulf, Thermaikos Gulf, Lakonikos Gulf, Euboikos Gulf, Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, Otranto Strait. Data have been made available to HNODC from the Physical Oceanographic Department, NCMR and are all quality controlled and formatted in MEDATLAS format. |
