Biological, physical and chemical oceanographic data have been collected within the framework of research projects funded by the Hellenic Public Electricity Corporation. The aim of the projects was the multidisciplinary oceanographic study of near-shore coastal waters of the islands Milos and Nisyros. Seasonal sampling was carried out at 5 sites, in near-shore areas, of each of the two aforementioned islands.
