Parameters

Sediment grain size parameters; Nutrient concentrations in sediment pore waters; Concentration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediment samples; Zoobenthos taxonomic abundance; Zoobenthos taxonomy-related wet weight biomass per unit area of the bed; Inorganic chemical composition of sediment or rocks

Instruments

Description
Summary

The data set concerns an in situ experiment. It includes monitoring of heavy metals (in sediments and interstitial water), petroleum hydrocarbons (in sediment), nutrients (in interstitial water), granulometry, biomass, abundance and composition of zoobenthos and meiobenthos in polluted, unpolluted and control sediments. The sampling frequency is monthly. The project was funded by the CEC.
