| Summary | The aim of the project is to study the effects of dumping metalliferous waste of a ferro-nickel smelting plant on the benthic communities of the licensed dumping area offshore Larymna, in N. Evoikos gulf and also to measure the levels of heavy metals accumulated in the tissues of benthopelagic organisms and fish produced from local fish cultures. Also to monitor the long term effects of the discharge on the environment and to evaluate these long term trends on the time series of data. |
