Geographical area | A zone (1 Km width) from Attika to Evia Isl. at South Evoikos Gulf (Central Aegean Sea) |
Observations | |
Parameters | Mineralogical composition; Sediment grain size parameters; Salinity of the water column; Seismic reflection; Side-scan sonar; Temperature of the water column; Bathymetry and Elevation |
Instruments | CTD; sidescan sonars; unconsolidated sediment corers |
Description | |
Summary | The purpose of the survey was to delineate the geology and active tectonics along the designed route of pipeline, between Grammatiko (Attika) and Aliveri (Evia). The survey comprised bathymetry, high resolution mapping of sediments, gravity coring, oceanographic parameter analyses. |
