Summary

The aim of the MED-POL project, in which almost all the Mediterranean countries participate, is to estimate the levels of pollution of the Mediterranean Sea, by oil and petroleum hydrocarbons. The data are collected from 13 sites in the Saronikos Gulf and 30 sites from the Aegean and Ionian Seas. Data are stored in computer media using the LOTUS computer software package.
