Description 
Summary

Sea water samples are collected from surface waters (30cm below the sea surface) of selected stations, at natural bathing beaches, where water depth ranges between 1.0m and 1.5m. The number of sampling stations has been increased from 31 in 1990 to 52 in 1992. Samples are obtained every fortnight, during the period from May to October of each year, according to the CEC Bathing Water Directive. Data on faecal streptococci exists since 1992.
