| Summary | Over 600 sediment samples have been collected by the group. The two main types of sample are: cores (Box, Kasten, Piston and Gravity) and dredges. The principal work areas have been the northwest African continental margin and the Indus Fan. A PC-based database includes the following information: sample type, position, depth, general description and other data. After interrogating the database, arrangements can be made to inspect the samples at IOSDL. In several cases, copies of photographs of the samples can be obtained. |
