| Summary | All sea water samples are examined for the presence of total coliforms, faecal coliforms and faecal streptococci. Both the membrane filtration technique and the tube series technique are used for the estimation of most probable number. Sea water samples cover 165 sites of bathing areas which are examined from May to October, regularly, every fortnight. |
