Description
Summary

The aim of the project was to study the life cycle and distribution of the shrimp Callianassa tyrrhena in relation to environmental factors. Sediment parameters were measured in June and July 1984 (37 samples in total by cylindrical corer) covering the shallow area of Vravrona Bay (eastern coast of Attica). The benthic fauna was sampled seasonally by the cubic corer. The same corer was used for the estimation of Callianassa tyrrhena density over a one year period (June 1984- June 1985) with 20 replicates in each of the 14 sampling occasions. In June 1985 the biomass of Cymodocea nodosa was also estimated.
