Description
Summary

Various sampling projects as follows: During the period 1982-1985, data were collected in Amvrakikos Gulf within the framework of a research project funded by the Hellenic Ministry of agriculture. The aim of the project was to study the biology of the decapod Penaeus kerethurus. Seasonal sampling took place at 10 sites. During the period 1976-1982, data were collected in Saronikos Gulf, Elefsis Bay and Amvrakikos Gulf within the framework of a research project funded by UNEP (MED-POL). The aim of the project was to study the ecophysiology of crustacea (evaluation of metabolic responses to oil and oil dispersants, individual and combined toxicity of heavy metals, feeding activity, adaptation to pollution, dimensional differentiation, productivity (egg laying).Experimental organisms: Acortia claus, Tisbe holothuriae, Artemia salina, Palaemon elegeus).During the period 1985-1986, data were collected in Saronikos Gulf within the framework of a research project funded by the Hellenic Ministry of Agriculture. The aim of the project was to study the secondary production in the sea. Seasonal sampling was carried out at two sites. During the period 1990-1991, data were collected in Saronikos Gulf and Elefsis Bay within the framework of a research project funded by UNEP (MED-POL). The aim of the project was to investigate the role of pollution on the physiology and enzymatic activity of planktonic and benthic organisms.
