Description
Summary

The surveys were conducted in order to investigate the spatial variation of the above parameters and their possible relationship to anthropogenic factors. The water-column parameters were measured in July, October and December 1999 at 16 stations (5, 10, 20 and 50 m deep) situated along 5 transects. Water samples were taken at standard depths (0, 5, 10, 20 and 50 m according to the depth of each station). In July, the benthic communities were sampled at the stations up to 20 m deep. In the same month, the sand parameters of four shores (East Laganas, Gerakas, Daphni and Sekania) were measured at 0, 20 and 50 cm. All data were compiled by the holding centre.
