The project objective is the study of the influence of eutrophication on the survival of marine microbial flora. The baseline information of the system is collected (physical, chemical and biological data) as well as data concerning marine microbial activity. Total cell counting of bacteria is carried out by an epifluorometric technique, whereas heterotrophic bacteria counting is carried out by plants agar petri dishes. Bacterial taxonomy is also carried out by using EPI biochemical sets. This project is partly supported and partly financed by WHO within the MED-POL framework.
