Description
Summary

i) Raw data HRTP of the sensor AVHRR (10-bit on 5 channels) getting a direct signal from the NOAA-14 satellite from the SmarTech receiving station of the RSLUA. The data cover most of the Mediterranean area and there are at least four pictures per 24 hours, usually two during daytime and two during night time ii) Quick Looks colour composites JPEG from AVHRR raw data images iii) Dust maps showing the distribution on the atmosphere of the dust generated at the Sahara desert after dust storms of high intensity and duration iv) Vegetation index (average over 15-day intervals) v) Sea surface temperatures (SST) are available for day and night. Products of optical thickness of the atmosphere are on the stage of development. The system is under upgrading process expected to be in operation in 2001.
