Summary | The aim of this work was to monitor the main physical and chemical parameters of Vistonis lagoon over a 13-month period in order to calibrate a non-point source eutrophication model for the catchment area (SWAT). For this time period data concerning water flow, sediments, phosphorus and inorganic nitrogen were collected from the main tributaries. Also, a eutrophication model for the lagoon itself (WASP) is under calibration. Data were collected from 5 sites, at 1m intervals of the water column, on average monthly basis and included apart from the main physical and chemical variables, chlorophyll-a monitoring. |
