| Summary | The aim of the MEDSPA Project 'Environmental Protection and Development Programme' at the Evrotas River basin and the northern coast of Laconikos Gulf, is to study the pollution sources in the Evrotas River basin and to estimate their impact on the river water and sea water quality. The programme is under development and will be completed in September, 1993. Water and sediments are collected on a seasonal basis from the river and the sea area near the river mouth. The samples are analysed for nutrients, dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity, BOD5, COD and pesticides. |
