Description | |
Summary | Petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs) monitoring in the surface water of the Gulf of Riga and Daugava river estuary have been carried out from 1997 to 2007. Sampling was done using research vessel 'Antonija'. Water samples were collected from 1 m depth. PHCs were extracted with n-hexane and determined by spectrofluorimetric photometer against Ecofisk standard. The monitoring program was semiquantitative screening for oil pollution. |
