| Summary | Monitoring Studies of phytoplankton in the Latvian coastal waters Baltic Sea have been carried out since 2004. Lugol's solution is used for sample fixations. Since 1998 the counting program recommended by Manual for Marine Monitoring in COMBINE Programme of HELCOM is used. According to Manual for Marine Monitoring in COMBINE Programme of HELCOM samples were collected with hose (0-10 m). Since 2004 data were send to Finish Institute of Marine Research homepage 'Algaline' (http://www4.fimr.fi/project/algaline/algaline.htm). |
