Description
Summary

Sample collections were done in March - August, 3 to 5 surveys per year. Samples were collected at the hydrological stations, since 1992 a standard grid of stations is used. Ichthyoplankton net is operated vertically from the bottom (or 140 m depth in the deepest places) to the water surface; the net is also towed in the surface layer for 10 minutes while vessel is going on circulation at a speed of ca. 3 knots. Data processing: the total of fish eggs and larvae is determined in the whole sample and the total number of eggs and larvae by species per 1 m2 (vertical hauls) or per 10 minutes (towing in the surface layer) is determined.
