Description
Summary

Description of data processing: the total sample is diluted, mixed and two subsamples are taken and treated under a microscope, determining all the specimens in the subsample. The size of the subsamples depends on the abundance of zooplankton in the sample. The mean value of two subsamples is used to calculate the total number of specimens in 1 m3. The number of the rearest and the biggest species is determined in the whole sample. Time: seasonal surveys (February, May, August, October), Location: the Gulf of Riga, standard net of stations, Depth: 0-bottom, layers - changeable by periods.
