This project was conducted to determine the members of Prosobranchia (Gastropoda-Mollusca) distributed in Sinop and its adjacent areas. Samples were collected in the samplings carried out in 4 different depths (0-0.5, 5, 10, 15 m) and biotopes of 12 stations selected along the coast line at issue. Evaluation of data resulted in the identification of 4 orders, 13 families, 22 genera, 25 species and 3 subspecies. Of these species, G. adriatica, Hydrobia acuta and Mangelia costata are new records for the Black Sea coasts of Turkey. Physico-chemical features of every station sampled, were measured seasonally in the coastal region. For this purpose, temperature, salinity, pH, conductivity and turbidity values of each station were recorded by means of an electronic device, U-10 Horiba.
