The aim of the project was to determine the short-term variability of physical and chemical parameters at the one station. Every year, five days of continuous measurements were taken with a time interval of 5 hours (additional 1 hour interval, 1 to 2 days long time series, have been taken since 1993). The measurements were taken in the micro-layer, 90m and 250m and at 0.15m, 0.5m, 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m, 50m, 70m, 90m and 100m. Water samples were collected in the micro-layer, using a glass plate and Garetta's net. Chemical analyses were made on board ship in a laboratory. All data were stored in a database on a PC computer.
